Wildlife & SustainabilityIn addition to wine production, our team of researchers and volunteers at Neuras Estate work tirelessly to conserve the diverse and thriving ecosystem of the desert on our 14,400 hectare estate. Our wildlife and sustainability projects range from logging our local frog species to cheetah tracking and collaring. We specialize in cheetah and leopard research, and currently monitor 5 big cats on our property. Find out more about how you can be a part of our wildlife and sustainability projects below:
On the edge of the Namib desert and 80km from the world famous Sossusvlei, Neuras is a 14,400ha nature reserve which sports a wide variety of free roaming mountain zebra, kudu, springbok, ostrich, warthog, jackal and many other exotic animals.
We are forever indebted to the many supporters and partners of the Naankuse Foundation and Neuras Estate. When you sponsor a hectare at Neuras, you’re part of a small and unique community who has helped to maintain a special ecosystem in Namibia, which harbors important flora and fauna.
Want to be a part of conservation in Namibia? We’ve got the program for you. Our research volunteer program has an average rating of 9/10 as rated by past volunteers, and is often reported as the favorite part of our visitors’ stay in Namibia.
